A Deep Clean Makes Your Home Show Better

You’ve decluttered, staged & repaired. Before you put your home on the market, make it shine by giving it a deep clean.

A clean, staged home not only looks, smells, & shows better, it just feels more move in ready. A spotless home often gives buyers a piece of mind that it was well cared for & needs “less work” than a comparable home. It can even feel more solid & of better quality than a home that hasn’t had that same attention to detail.

On top of the obvious chores, either commit to tackling these often neglected areas or hire a professional cleaner before you open up your home for showings.

  1. Do a cobweb sweep of ceilings and corners.

  2. Take down overhead light shades and globes and wash them up in hot soapy water.

  3. Wash and/or dust your window coverings.

  4. Wash and/or touch up walls.

  5. Wash windows, sills and trim.

  6. Clean cabinetry, especially around the hardware.

  7. Clean the inside & outside of your refrigerator, stove, microwave & dishwasher.

  8. Wash your switch plates, doors, door knobs, hardware & baseboards.

  9. Steam clean carpets & rugs.

  10. Wash blankets, pillow cases, duvets, etc.
